Chief Jan was wonderful! I booked her to cook dinner for me and my girlfriend so I could ask her to marry me! It all worked out great! She arrived right on time and set the table beautifully. Our dinner was exceptional and the proposal went as planned. (She said yes!) We will always remember how Chef Jan made our night so special. I highly recommend her!!!

I hired Jan to cook a dinner for my husband and our two kids for my husband’s birthday. Jan was the first to respond to my inquiry on Thumbtack, and her menu proposal was spot on and her pricing was fair. She was on time, the dishes were absolutely delicious, and my husband and our entire family had a fantastic experience. I asked her for a five course menu accompanied with two bottles of wine and a separate meal for my two toddlers. I also asked her to bring place settings and table decor and it was perfect. The kitchen was spotless when she came and spotless when she left and we didn’t have to lift a finger. She did not disappoint! Highly recommend.

On very short notice I reached out to Jan to come cook a business dinner for 5. We had a challenging menu, a vegetarian, a picky eater and a child who only eats Mac and cheese! Well Jan nailed it! She made three different entrees to accommodate everyone and a seriously delicious dessert!!! I will definitely have her back to cook for us again. She also created a beautiful, inviting table and left my kitchen sparkling!!!! Truly talented and very professional!!!!

I like to get to know my customers. What they like to eat, where their skill levels are, and what they are looking for in a cooking class.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have ten years of experience as a chef working in many restaurants, hotels, and resorts. I have also taught cooking classes for kids ranging in age from four to 16 years old. I have also taught cooking classes to adults of all skill levels.
