Kiersten D. says, "My husband and I run an online 3D printing business from our small home, while also both working demanding, full time jobs. The 3D printing aspect requires us to keep a supply of small printer parts for repairs/maintenance and a bunch of large, bulky filament rolls. We need to be able to access these supplies quickly and often to keep our business running. We also have a huge assortment of shipping supplies we need for the vast range of size/weight products we ship out. This all takes place in our home and personal space and the chaos of all this clutter was starting to cause unnecessary stress and slowing down our ability to grow our business from home! My mother suggested hiring a personal organizer as she grew tired of hearing me complain about the clutter and our limited time to address it- but I figured the cost would be far too prohibitive for us. That's when Busy Bee Atlanta was brought to my attention and Nicole flew into my life more like an angel than a bee! Her prices seemed more than fair for the level of need we presented her with and she was willing with work with our busy schedules! I felt she catered to the specific needs of our business and didn't just provide cookie cutter organization. She provided long term solutions that we can expand on as our business grows. I felt like she had a keen eye for combining aesthetics with function and she needed very little direction in achieving that balance. My original fear was that everything would end up stashed in drawers without considering how often we use each item, and I am so glad to report that fear was completely unfounded!! Nicole also took the time to make sure we knew where everything was located and why she had stored it where she did. She helped me feel comfortable asking not just where something was but also why she chose to put it there. In the end, I felt like not only had Nicole organized our space but also taught us the skills we need to maintain that organization and expand on it! Plus, she was just very fun to talk with and funny and I enjoyed getting to know her! I will be requesting her services again this winter as we expect our 1st baby and will need help designing and organizing a nursery in a small space! I am looking forward to becoming a repeat customer and supporting another small business! Thanks so much, Nicole!! Will bee seeing you again, soon!"See more

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much do private cooking lessons cost?

You can take private cooking classes to have fun, to learn a new skill, to improve your health, to bond with your partner, to enjoy a playful first date or to have a unique birthday party experience. Nationally the average cost of private cooking lessons ranges between $100 and $150. Prices can vary, depending on where you live, the type of cooking class you’re taking, the ingredients the chef provides, and the reputation of the chef. Cooking classes with Anthony Bourdain will clearly cost more than classes with a local restaurant owner. The number of people in the class will also affect the cost, with group lessons often priced per person to account for the cost of ingredients. For example, for group lessons, a brunch workshop may cost an average of $70 per person, a steak dinner with sides could cost an average of $80-$85 per person, and a sushi lesson could cost an average of $100 per person. Ingredients play a major role in cost, as the chef will pre-purchase the food you will be working with. Weekday classes will usually cost less than weekend classes.
