Hired on Thumbtack

I decided to hire a professional organizer on a whim and am so glad a quick Google search lead me to Thumbtack and to Taylor. Taylor responded quickly and spent 8 hours at my house the very following weekend. As a mom and full-time professional with ADHD and anxiety, I simply could not reclaim my house by myself. I had difficulty starting and staying on tasks and was so easily overwhelmed by too much stuff and big messes in almost every room of my house. I sometimes envisioned what I wanted and started a job wholeheartedly, but I would become tired and discouraged when two hours later it seemed like I had barely made a small dent. Taylor was understanding, non-judgemental, and beyond helpful. She is driven and clear-minded and was able to accomplish at least double or triple the amount of work I did while working alongside her. Not to mention, I never would have stayed on task and committed for 8 hours in one weekend without her help and motivation. She is exactly what I needed, and I'm feeling so much relief and optimism already. In just one weekend, we decluttered and cleaned the 3 messiest rooms in my house. Best of all, she drove away at the end of each day with her car stuffed full of clothing and items that - FINALLY - I will never have to pick up or sort through again. If you're reading this, but not sure you want to invest in this kind of service, just do it. You will not regret it. Taylor has a gift that I myself was not blessed with. I absolutely recommend her for your decluttering and organizing needs!

Taylor did an excellent job at getting my closet organized!! It was a job that I was avoiding and that had become completely overwhelming to me. She came in, rolled her sleeeves up and got to work and was extremely helpful in making sense of what to keep, what to donate etc. I would highly recommend her for getting any area in your house declittered and organized!

Taylor is an amazing woman with a true gift from God to help people get organization into their lives. She is such a pleasure to work with. She truly listens to peoples needs and struggles. She then designs and implements a customized plan to that person's exact needs and desires to get them organized. I highly recommend her.

Taylor helped us on moving day. Just like most moving days, it was a bit of a blur as I was exhausted. Truly, I just noticed things were going where they needed to be and it was getting done! On top of organizing, what I do remember is Taylor getting out our decorative items and displaying them very tastefully on our entertainment system and other places. Tasteful interior decorating is her gift and organization comes with it!!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Daily travel fee of $150+, non-refundable outside of Auburn/Opelika. Hourly rate is $200+ 48 hour notice required for 50% refund. Rescheduling is always an option.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Connect with the client. Discuss troubled areas and overall goals. I love being able to see pictures of their current spaces to help assist me in knowing how long the job could take. Each client is unique and therefore, depending on their personal ability to work alongside me deciding which items to keep, donate/purge, or trash affects the longevity of the sessions. I love to take before and after pictures to post for future clients. I absolutely LOVE being able to help clients break free from their paralysis state within their home to come home and breath with peace.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would say, find someone who has your best interest at heart. For me, the biggest reward is watching the relief of heavy weights being lifted off my clients as we work through their spaces. I have seen clients brought to tears because of how long they have carried the weight of disorder in their homes. No one wants to come to a place where chaos overwhelms them. Home should be your place to invite people in and be joyful with what you have been blessed with. Having a pro come alongside you and usher you into that freedom is what you should mostly seek after. It is my honor to walk with people to bring that sort of freedom, comfort, peace and restoring joy and order.
