Introduction: I have over 20 years of experience working with and helping animals. I have gained much knowledge working for veterinarian offices where I was an assistant, as well as doggie day care where I was a pack leader and manager. I worked at PetSmart as a dog trainer for several years. I then went to school and became a certified animal control officer and cruelty investigator. I have worked for municipalities as an officer as well as kennel attendant. I also would do behavior modification with the animals in my care. This allowed these animals to be able to get adopted into their forever homes. My work with animals and some very good people has led me to this point of my life where I welcome the opportunity to help families to take care of their loved ones--their pets. I enjoy helping individuals/families take care of their loved ones and have them know that the members of their families are in good hands. I take pride in the fact that people know they are being taken good care of as if they are my own no matter, whether it be a couple of walks throughout the day while they are at work or stay over for those who are traveling. Your pets will be treated with respect and love. Animals are my life and passion!

I contacted Lea to help with training my one year old Newfoundland, Indy. Indy is a reactive dog and is nervous around strangers, often times barking when they get too close or approach him inappropriately. For her first training session with Indy she came to the home. She was not intimidated by his size or his very intimidating bark. It didn't take more then 15-20 mins for Indy to begin feeling comfortable and to start interacting with Lea. By the end of our first session he was already leaning up against her leg and had accepted her as a friend. She offers very affordable prices compared to other trainers and has a very flexible schedule. Most importantly Lea seems to genuinely care about the animal she is training and has a unique ability to understand and work with dogs. I would highly recommend her for any problem you may be having. She has definitely helped me with Indy. I would call her again for any problem I was having without hesitation.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do have my basic pricing. It does vary a bit when the walks are extended in time or if there is a second or third pet, I will give a break in pricing for the other pets.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I schedule a meet and greet, so I can meet with the parents and pet. This gives both parties the opportunity to make sure that this is a good fit.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked with vets, at dog daycare, shelters, Petsmart as a dog trainer, bather brusher at spa's, also behavior modification and socialized the " unadaptable " animals, whom are all now in their forever homes.
