FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It includes all taxes, materials labor and profit. It’s my job to know what the work will take so the price given is final unless we change it before the job. Contractors like to give “estimates” meaning the quote you received was just a ballpark price and it could change. My prices do not change once the job starts. If I under Bid it then I will deal with it, again my job to know how long and how much it will take.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I first reach out and introduce myself over the phone or email. I schedule a time to meet. When I first approach I make sure I have something on me to show who I am. I like to start with basic conversation, try to get an idea of who I might be working with. I ask questions about things that might make the whole process easier on Them. I try to get them comfortable with me first. Once we have made it through intro and small talk I ask what they are wanting to have done and then I ask them to show me. From there, I look and inspect the surface and educate them on the process needed to do the work properly and how to make it the way they are wanting. Once I have answered all of the homeowners questions and any objections, I then look at everything again, measure and come up with a proposal. Once I have the proposal, I make sure everything is included and then I go over it with them. If the job is not sold right away, I will follow up a couple times fairly soon to make sure they don’t need any other questions answered.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been to so many Paint seminars and contractor seminars. I have been fortunate to work with some really large companies that paid good money to have special training with specific types of coatings. I’ve even painted on television for a couple tv networks.
