Introduction: I'm an audition coach and acting teacher with more than 10 years of experience in the field. I've worked both professionally and in educational settings, and I have experience directing, acting, and coaching in both theater and film.
The diverse work opportunities that I've had means that I bring with me a wide range of approaches to acting, but I especially love helping people shrug off some of the anxiety that comes with acting and auditioning. Since I'm a teacher at heart, I won't give you commands about how to do a particular monologue or scene. Instead, I'll coach you through the process of preparing an audition or role so that you can take those skills with you and apply them to future opportunities.

Mr. Burford has been my acting coach since 2009. He has helped me prepare monologues for everything ranging from class rehearsals to monologue competitions to auditions for college theatre programs. He has without question been the most influential person in my deciding to pursue acting in college; his enthusiasm for acting and theatre in general is nothing short of contagious. And should I ever need help in the future, I will not hesitate to contact him. It could be 3 months or 3 years and he would offer advice or help me choose the right piece as if he was still my teacher. I highly recommend him.

I have worked with Ben several times on auditions for theater, film, and TV. Many of those auditions have resulted in callbacks and/or booked jobs. Ben has a keen eye for finding the conflict in any scene and always helps me find the most effective actions to play. After working with him, I feel like I'm entering my audition with real work under my belt, not just winging it and hoping it goes well. I've done work, I have a point of view, and I'm prepared to make adjustments if necessary. He is also really nice and fun and will make you feel really comfortable!
