Introduction: I have more than 15 years of experience. I have been trained by the best and my attention to detail is what makes me stand out. I am a wedding and session stylist. A seasoned hair designer and colorist for just as long. I am certified in Hairdreams hair extensions. I've also received national recognition in a contest put on by Redken. I was one of five winners. I love that I get to create everyday wearable art. I enjoy the satisfaction I get from a pleased client--it is worth it all! I'm diverse and flexible. I've worked with Sandy in various ways. First, I was a client of hers for about 4 years before I, unfortunately, moved to another city. She always gave me an amazing haircut and was very pleasant and professional. I even flew her out to my wedding in Pennsylvania to have her do my hair and my mom and bridesmaids' hair. Each person was extremely pleased, and we all got compliments all night on our hair. We all had different hair (long, short, thick, fine, etc.), and she came up with a style that flattered each person. Another time, a friend of mine was about to get married and went to another stylist for a trial 'do. It was a disaster. Tons of hairspray, really stiff, and pulled back so tightly that her eyebrows were raised. I referred her to Sandy, who came up with with an updo that was gorgeous and natural, and incorporated her tiara, too. She was delighted. Finally, I'm a photographer, and Sandy and I collaborated on three fashion photo shoots, where she gave both models various hairstyles (with the hair both up and down. One was a male.) The hair looked amazing in the photos. She had given two of the models highlight/color jobs that also looked extremely classy and modern. I would highly recommend Sandy for any job involving hair styling, no matter how big or how small!

I've known Sandy for over 7 years, and have had the pleasure of being her hair muse . Consistently as a stylist, she is friendly and engaging, and open to new ideas. It's always a good experience seeing her and she's obviously skilled and talented, with so much experience working for her.

Sandy is amazing! I loved chatting with her and sharing images of the hair styles I was looking at for my wedding. She came to my house for a trial and tried several different things, and she was so efficient, talented, calm and fun, that I knew I wanted to hire her to do my hair on my wedding day. I'm so glad I did - she was on time, brought everything she needed, made my hair look amazing, and was so calm and grounded that she made me feel fabulous while she made my hair look gorgeous. Many of our guests commented on how beautiful it was. Having Sandy do my hair was a fun and enjoyable experience and the style was just what I wanted! My hair was even beautiful the next day. I'm SO grateful to her for making my special day so perfect.

Sandy made my hair for my wedding. A couple of weeks before the big day we spoke on the phone about what I wanted to look like and we started a Pinterest board to share some references and we found "the look". She arrived punctually on the wedding day and was the sweetest. She has a calm voice and a fairy presence which is everything a bride can ask at the moment you are the most excited in our life and can't wait to see how you are going to look. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I believe in a thorough consultation. I ask lots of questions about what the potential new client is looking for. The consultation usually lasts about 15-20 minutes. I won't go forward until I'm on the same page with my client. Then we get to the hair!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've trained with Martin Parsons a well respected Wedding styling expert in the beauty industry. I've attended several workshops in the Bay Area and New York for session styling. I am certified in Hairdreams hair extensions. I've also taken several cutting and coloring classes to further my education in the beauty industry.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
It all started with my Barbie dolls when I was a little girl. I would cut their hair! Haha! Then I moved on to friends and family and eventually cosmetology school.
