- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I give more natural direction and guidance. (you can't have real emotions if your being forced!) nothing awkward for you to sit in a pose forever - scrap that! Starting Out: I love to meet you before your wedding day whether in person or video chat or grabbing a bite to eat! So that way I can get to know you more and make you feel more comfortable being photographed. I like to be involved in the planning process - to help you plan for photos, timeline, light, etc. so that way you have an easy flow through your day and your pictures turn out great. Whether you want my opinion on your flowers, shoes, dress, etc. or help scheduling let me know! On your wedding day, I won’t do super posey portraits or the typical “pinterest” shots. I want to capture the real you, the mood, how you were feeling, the in between moments, everything that makes you, you. I’ll give you direction, rather than put you into a pose i'll guide you, while photographing what happens naturally as you respond, to me and to each other. I want you to keep those emotions flowing so don't hold back! It’s less about the posing and more about the direction and cues I give you. I’ll ask questions, get you talking, and bring out those natural responses! For the rest of the day, (dinner, dancing, ceremony) I keep it mostly documentary, capturing the natural moments as they happen. I won’t step in and change the naturally occurring emotion. And yes I do shoot the more “traditional” family portraits and bridal party shots - because everyone needs those - I just don’t spend a ton of time of the posey stuff.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’ve been photographing subjects for 7 years and have worked under many well known photographers over the years - Ben Sasso, Greg Giannukos, Owen Perry, Penelope L’amore, Gino Barasa, Noah Abrams, and more...
