Introduction: I work In venues and at festivals doing Front of House sound mixing, stage hand work, stage managing, load in, and load out types of audio work. I also work in a recording studio and am open to working on your project with you! I love the feeling of tweaking the sound of the performer in a way that makes their audience fall in love with sound and the artist.

Tom is a true professional and knows his trade well. Have called on him several times to assist in a pinch and he has never failed us. I would highly recommend him for any tech/audio/sound work.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

For live event work: 5 hr minimums (1/2 day) and 10 hr full day calls (10 working hours and an hour walk away meal break or 30 min on the clock client provided meal). Overtime will be billed after 10 working hours and between 12a-6a. The lead rate for any work is $30/hr, and the same for additional Engineers, $22/hr General stagehand work. Live event Rental: rates for PA equipment vary Studio: Depending on project, I charge per song for recording and mixing at $100/song Higher quality projects will need additional mic and room rentals that yield a better sound than an entry level package. 20/hr recording and mixing no matter how many songs- $400 Mastering service for 1-6 songs $650 Mastering for 7-14 songs Rates are not flexible, but flat rates are based on project (instrumentation, desired sound, equipment needed, etc.)

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I prefer to set up a planning meeting or at least email/have a phone call about the job at hand. It is good to discuss expectations and contracts of both of us before jumping into production or the event. We can talk about my rates and about necessary equipment and additional engineers.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

A trade certificate, some college ear training, and real world experience!
