Introduction: As a guitar teacher I have taught hundreds of students over the many years that I've been teaching. My method is very unique and gets fast and satisfying results. Many of my students have gone on to be professional. I also have a recording studio with Pro-Tools and am able to record and produce high quality recordings. I really enjoy making a difference in a persons musical ability by maximizing their natural talent which many people don't even know they have. For example: I had a client who was a singer/songwriter who didn't think she had what it takes to submit her work to Nashville. I had her sing and play her acoustic guitar in my studio. A week later I gave her a fully produced demo with full band and harmony vocals at a very reasonable rate.It was so successful that we did many more. I really enjoy bringing out the best in people!

I've known Doug Phillips for many years. I've had a plumbing business in san diego for over 22 years, Doug had worked for me. I was in a band with Doug, "Crazy Force ". He has been and still is a close friend. I've seen a negative review posted by a uncreditable, slanderous, evil person trying to do him harm. This is a lie. It has no truth, no Merritt, and considering the source puts this person in dangerous slanderous position. I've found Doug to be a highly motivated, intelligent, honest, and a gifted guitarist. He has the highest regard for students, and others to a fault. A intelligent person will obiously find this one person to be what she describes others to be. Hang in there Mr Phillips.

I have been a big fan of Doug Phillips for many years. I have admired is guitar playing and skills. From Children, The Grand Old Men of Rock n Roll, and Streetwise. Loved them all.

They don't come any better than Doug Phillips! Playing guitar together, and singing, with Doug is great. A perfect blend of not getting in each others way. Our bands and recording projects, especially in Colorado and the West, and Metro St. Louis, are some of my most fun times ever. If you have a chance to get on Doug's roster, you will learn from a master! I always look forward to getting together with my great friend. Man, he just keeps getting better. Good luck to you serious cats and be ready to be amazed!

Hey! Glad to hear Doug is now doing what he loves best....being totally selfish and ignoring his sons, giving zero support in any way to anyone but himself, leaving everyone else to pick up his pieces, owing thousands of dollars to those in California who he fled from under the guise of "touring" and having his fam and friends cover over his stuff and butt cause he pretends to be such a nice guy!!!

I'm very sorry my ex wife feels that way. I only wish the best for her and hope that some day she gets over her bitterness. I tried for 21 years but nothing was ever good enough. Maybe some day the people around her will figure out a way of reaching her without the danger of being "chewed up and spit out " as she has said is her way of handling the men in her past. I apologize for this lack professionality and really hope that Lee seeks professional help.

Had the privilege of hearing Doug play a few times in San Diego. Great music, great talent! Now we live in Colorado and are willing to make the trip to St Louis to hear him play again.

I really try to work with people and their situations as much as possible.

I treat my clients like I would like to be treated. Humility and Tact go a long way and my client's satisfaction is paramount.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Almost all of my training is from decades of experience in the music industry. Even though I have had formal music training, nothing replaces being out there and doing it.
