FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Most of my jobs are bid per job. there are occasions where an hourly rate is installed vs having a total price bid out.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
it depends on the job. Normally a customer contacts me for work and we go from there. I don't do too much cold calling. Normally introductions are made and we talk about the project and set a time to meet up and take a look. Once I see the project we come up with the scope of work. From there the job begins and is completed. There is constant contact throughout each project to ensure that the customer is getting exactly what they want and exactly what they are paying for. The last thing I want is an unhappy customer.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started in the home repair industry as a child going to work with my dad and grandfather quite often. I've grown up around tools and buildings and learned everything from the very bottom. You could say it runs in my blood. My great grand father, grandfather and father have all been in home repairs their entire life. and I would like to pass the skills and knowledge I have gained over the years to my own son.
