If your looking to have your laptop repaired, iTechChimp is an excellent choice!
I have a 7 year old Dell XPS Studio 1647 Laptop that I had customized with a failed hard drive. And, yes, I inexplicably let it over heat (my bad)!
Circumstance such as they are, I contacted several local repair shops (experts?), as well as, Dell. I would have stuck with Dell service; however, my service warranty expired, and, frankly ... there current customer service is lacking in communication--which goes without saying (humm).
After a week of deliberation, I chose iTechChimp. The determining factor was their technician, Sam, for his expertise and communication skills. I experienced a most pleasant heuristic process in concluding repairs.
Needless to say, my laptop was repaired the same day I brought it in, having replaced my hard drive, completion of OS, and driver installations ... all within 3 hours. After several days had past, I ran into an issue with an inadvertent download of a serious spyware that propagated to no end ... scary and very stupid!
Called Sam, he suggested Hitman Pro and SuperAntiSpyware, Further research led me to install a Junkware Removal Tool and the current version of Malwarebytes ... what a relief and lesson learned!
Bottomline, (in my former line of business), the truth is in the numbers -- iTechChimp's repair cost were more than reasonable and their service stellar. Most of all, Sam's competence and proficiency inspired me to write this review. Thank you Sam!
I highly recommend iTechChimp with one advise, when utilizing GPS direction, ensure you type in Belmont address (SMILE).

The service was amazing, friendly and knowledgable.
I found their place off of google, when I called john at the location was very nice and answered all my questions. He also offered me a free diagnostics to bring my macbook pro. He schedule an appointment for the same day. When i walked to itechchimp, he welcomed me and went over what he is going to do step by step, doing diagnostic to approving any parts or etc, also to mention that they will txt you along the way if you request to let you know about the process step by step.

Sam was the best I ever dealt with to the point and told me the problem plane and simple and what needs to be done..
gave me warranty on the work done and finished it in record time, thank you sam!

Thumbtack was so fast in finding me itechchimp! Awesome!! Thank you so much!! I was so stressed when, my MAC battery blew. I couldn't finish my job and my boss was upset and I thought I was screwed. It literally took 10 minutes to connect me to "ITechChimp" in Belmont approx 10minutes away from me! Unbelievable!! Sam was so fantastic! He did not take advantage of me (female & non-techy). I just really can not believe how well that situation turned out. I recommend Thumbtack to everyone. AND if you live in or near San Mateo, CA you have to try Sam at ITechChimp! He really knows computers, a genius!! You will not be disappointed!!
