Introduction: I'm a 17 year veteran of the makeup industry, I've worked in makeup artist training, program and training materials development, and product development for MAC, Sephora, and many of the brands affiliated with Sephora. But what I really love doing is "getting my brushes dirty" and doing makeup for clients
I'm a highly experienced artist, and available for a variety of projects, ranging from bridal/event makeup, to creative projects. I really enjoy one on one client interactions, creating a fun, playful makeup environment, and making people feel great about themselves!

Joey is a true artist. I told him the overall impact I wanted to have, and he went to work with minimal direction. I've found this to be true of some of my favorite craftspeople; I didn't need to know which colors I wanted, or anything other than I wanted high glamour, and he did the rest. He made me look the best I have ever looked, and I use the images of this work constantly for my portfolio and website (check it out! http://www.divamarisa.com)
In addition to being brilliant at the work he does, he has an excellent brush-side manner; I'm not in my 20's anymore, and in the arts, this can be cruel. Joey is an artist himself, and he knows how to be gracious and politic, making anyone feel their best before he even shows them themselves in the mirror.
Would hire again, and again, and again!

I am a photographer and needed an MUA who could do body painting. I contacted Joey because of his brilliant work with "regular" makeup. I wanted something artistic and not cheesy. Joey created a beautiful work of art on the model. He was considerate and respectful. I will go back to Joey for any other makeup needs I have in the future.

I'm a photographer who has worked with Joey on many projects for over 7 years. He is always the first person I think of when I need makeup for a shoot. I don't know anyone who understands and controls the medium as well as Joey. He can do subtle, he can do flashy, he can do fantasy. Also he truly takes part, takes great care to understand the setting and the part his makeup will play offering his creativity and insight along the way. Definitely a rare talent and an inspiration to work with.

Joey is a master with makeup. I'm always excited to hire him for a photo shoot as I know the models will look their best. He's definitely worth the money and I can't wait to work with him again!
