About this pro
Working with Equity Tutors, I was able to find a tutor who helps my son with Math, Physics, and Chemistry. The tutor comes to our home and is very punctual and flexible in terms of my son's tutoring needs. Since engaging with Equity Tutors, my child's confidence and knowledge of the subject mater has improved along with his grades. I am very glad to have found the right tutor for my son with Equity Tutors.Jan 24, 2018
Alex from Equity Tutors is great. He explains math with real life examples and has helped our son make progress in his advanced math program.Dec 17, 2017Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? We offer tutoring packages of different lengths- 12 hours, 24 hours, and 36 hours. As the package length increases, the price decreases. The regular package price is around $70 an hour, but we frequently run sales and discounts to offer our clients the best deal possible.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? When we get the opportunity to work with a new family, we listen and learn about the child and their specific academic needs. Based on that, we recommend a tutor who we think is a best fit. If the family approves the tutor, we schedule a first session. At the conclusion of the first session, the tutor collects several work samples that can be used to formulate the individualized learning plan.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work? All of our tutors are college-educated professionals with experience studying and teaching the subjects they tutor. They all pass a knowledge test demonstrating their understanding of the subjects and a working interview in which they prove they can tutor. They must also pass a comprehensive background check and have outstanding references. They then undergo training in research-based best practices in tutoring.
