When hiring a lawn company find out what their lawn services include. To make your yard look nice you need the company to do more than just mow for you. Find out if they weed eat or if they clean up the mess afterwards. Also find out how often they can mow. Grass grows quick and you want a company to be able to stay on top of it so it doesn't over grow and look bad.
