FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Prices are based on national flat rate labor guides minus the inflated prices of the corporate giants. Normal service fees are 100 to 150 depending on service area. FL Appliance Repair Center has a standard $80 service fee. The service fee is waived once a repair is done. Final pricing includes parts and labor.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Prior to arriving at a customers house it is important to take down as much details on the job. For instance: make, model number, and a description of the issue. A description can be any strange smells or noises. In some instances, some appliances are back up and running by resetting buttons or a breaker. If something can be fixed over the phone then it is best to do so. If it is determined that a service specialist is to be dispatched to a location then an $80 service fee is to be charged. Service fees are free with repairs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Prior to my appliance repair journey i was an auto mechanic for 6 years. Around 2014, I started an online course for appliance repair. There are some similarities between both the mechanic industry and the appliance world. It was an easy change.
