FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Whenever I am starting with a new client, I like to have a 30 minute consultation Skype call (free of charge) to go over personal goals, particular areas of difficulty, and possible strategies to help the student feel more confident and comfortable. Tutoring of any kind is all about the student's experience, so it is my chief priority to tailor my lessons to the needs and wants of the student.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida, where I attended Shorecrest Preparatory School. While in high school, I was named a National Merit Scholar and Presidential Scholar Candidate for my performance on the SAT (2320/2400) and ACT (36/36). I graduated in May of 2016 as Shorecrest's Valedictorian with a cumulative GPA of 4.95. I am now a bioengineering major in the University Scholars Program at Northeastern University in Boston.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got started tutoring after going through the process of prepping myself for college entrance exams during my junior year of high school. During this process, my eyes were opened to the sweeping misconceptions and misunderstandings that hinder students' abilities to reach their goals on these tests. Having taken and relatively mastered these tests so recently, I quickly realized that I wanted to share my skills with other students who may be struggling to "crack the code" of standardized testing. Ever since, I have met with clients online, tutoring for the ACT, SAT, and in all academic subject material. It is my goal to work intimately with each of my clients to ensure that they are reaching their full potentials.
