FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
In order to reserve a specific date and time on our schedule, a deposit will be required at the time of booking. The reason for this is once a specific date and time is held for a specific client, any subsequent requests for services on that same day (from other clients) can not be booked. Deposits are only refundable if the cancellation occurs within 90 days prior to the scheduled date of service. If you have specific questions or wish to discuss this policy more in depth, please do not hesitate to ask. I'm very open to communicating with my clients for any reason and at any time.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once I've booked a client, I like to know a bit about them in order to help me make their experience the best that it can be. I won't just show up with my makeup kit and do a standardized, "one size fits all" look. I will send a short questionnaire to my client, asking a few questions about them, their desired look, as well as about the event itself (if there is an event). I'll also request that they send examples of the type of makeup look they desire. Once that is done, I'll communicate ideas on a specific "look" created just for them. Of course, I am extremely flexible and willing to tweak a suggested look as much as needed so that my client is 100% satisfied with the projected end result. My ultimate goal is to make my clients as happy as possible (which in turn, makes me ecstatic). :)
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended cosmetology school in 1995. I've also attended many, many continuing education makeup courses in order to stay updated on current looks and updated/new techniques. I've been fortunate to have had many training and classes with Rogelio Reyna whom was known for many years as Bobbi Brown's "right hand man" since he worked very closely with her for many years. I've even been able to work alongside Bobbi Brown herself, which was a great honor. Although this training was certainly invaluable, I've learned that actual hands-on experience has probably been my greatest "teacher".
