FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Before the first lesson, I send my students a questionnaire to fill out that includes many questions about their background and goals. With that information, I can prepare an appropriate first lesson with them. Usually the first lesson involves a lot of conversation, as well as a few diagnostic tests to assess the student's abilities and the areas that they need to work on. From there, I create a plan tailored to the needs and interests of my student, which we can change as the lessons continue and the student improves their English.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a CELTA certification, which is one of the highest regarded TEFL certifications available worldwide. The CELTA training program is very intensive and includes both classroom instruction and practical teaching experience.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with both adults and children of all ages, as young as 4 years old! My students come from various backgrounds... I've taught Japanese housewives, Israeli businessmen, Italian primary school children, and many others from all over the world. Because my lessons are tailored to each student's specific goals and interests, I am very flexible in who I can teach.
