Introduction: Experience as an actor has taught me how to engage with audiences. Whoever is listening to you, no matter the number of people, they are your most important asset. In my career I have performed in hundreds of theaters, on television, in films, I've hosted cabarets, and recited Shakespeare to paying audiences in noisy parks. All this has taught the fun of how to engage an audiences attention, and roll with it. Audience engagement is a skill like any other, and can be taught; your ability to relax, and listen is the core. You can learn to harness your natural ability to respond to “the room," to think-on-your-feet, and get comfortable speaking from your heart. The skill is the same whether it be to one person in an office, a conference room of colleagues, an auditorium of strangers, or any number of circumstances. -Learn simple and effective techniques that help you hold an audience's attention. -Practice specific material for an upcoming speech or presentation. -Discover ways to relax before speaking in public which will allow you to communicate complex ideas with warmth and humor. - Harness your tone, cadence, intention, words, and body language.
