We chose Floorcovering International for our carpet replacement (~1000sf) at our home. The sales team came to our home with sample books for us to look through, and were very informative on the variety of products available. We chose a stain resistant carpet because of our muddy dog paws, and the occasional accident. It was decided in one meeting and we had a quote the next day. It was the most affordable quote we received amongst a few different companies. We took care of moving the furniture and removing the old carpet ourselves. They were very accommodating with ordering and scheduling so that we would not be living in our kitchen for any longer than necessary. Once they came to install, it was discovered that there had been an estimating error in their software, and they had not ordered enough carpet. They promptly remedied the issue by quick shipping carpet to get it installed a few days later. The install team did an outstanding job. They kept our house clean, took care of some squeaky subfloor areas and coming back a couple different times on some areas of concern. While we had a delay due to incorrectly ordered amount of carpet, we worked with them to determine a fair credit to the project, while also getting everything addressed in a timely manner once the carpet came in. We have some concerns with fraying that we were not notified about until after the fact, but the product is otherwise exactly what we were looking for. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?We don't have any price gimmicks or "one week only sales". There are no "buy 2 rooms get 1 free" type of stuff. We simply offer the best products from the best manufacturers, using the most qualified installers, at an everyday great value. Our prices are always all-inclusive, with no change-orders. Once we give you a price, it stays that way even if your job becomes more complex once we remove your current flooring. There are no surprises, and you will not pay your balance until you are completely satisfied with result.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?We come to the customer's location with a mobile showroom filled with over 3,000 samples of all types of flooring, including carpet, hardwood, tile, luxury vinyl, and laminate. A design consultation with measurement of the project, review of samples, and detailed quote is complementary. We manage each project from start to finish.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Everybody in the Floor Coverings International family receives 100's of hours of computer based and hands on training. We visit the home office in Atlanta 2-4 times a year for specialized workshops. We meet monthly with our reps from each company to learn the latest installation techniques and tips to get the most longevity and performance out of each product we carry. Every installer is scrutinized for certifications, references, years of experience, and overall talent. We aren't looking for a bargain when it comes to installers, we are looking for the best available at a good value.
