Shim replacement, 2 additional crawlspace vents added. Scheduling and response time could have been much improved. Not quick to send estimates, had to revise estimates due to extensive scope added by estimator.Aug 16, 2016Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Every project is unique. We offer a free foundation inspection and estimate. It's very important to determine the cause of the foundation failure. Improper drainage is one of the main reasons a foundation will fail and we recommend installing french or direct drains to ensure water is diverted away from the foundation. We will determine what caused the foundation to fail, how to correct this so it does not happen in the future. Sometimes a homeowners policy will actually cover water leaks under the slab so if we determine the home has proper drainage we will usually have a plumber come out and do a leak test. We offer economical solutions for your foundation repair and costs run from $235 per pier up to $350 per pier. We supply a repair diagram with all repair proposals and a written estimate detailing the repair work required.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? We come out with a zip level and measure each property to determine if the foundation has moved from it's original state. We use a zip level which is an atmospheric measuring device that is accurate to 0.005 inch. It measures your floor elevations directly in digits so we can quickly determine where your foundation has dropped or heaved upward. These measurements are then used to engineer a repair for your foundation. We give every customer a repair diagram and a written estimate within 24 hours of the initial property inspection. I personally visit every project at the time of an inspection and I am usually seen on the projects at least once per day. I am not there to oversee the job as I have a lead foreman that has 18 years of experience and who is a 2nd generation foundation repair expert. I am there to speak with customers, answer any questions they might have and to help refer them to the right company on any needed work that is not tied to their foundation repair. I do the final walk through after the project is complete with my foreman and the property owner or their agents. I pay top dollar to my employees and we have the same people on our crews. I have two specialists whose only function is to press the piers and who are responsible for the lifting of the home. We do not use day laborers so the same personnel will be working on your project from start to finish. They have worked together as a crew for years and we get the job done correctly and we are in and out of a project as quickly as possible so our clientele can get back to living in their home with no obstructions or any inconveniences. If interior piers are required I will excavate and press the exterior piers first and the following day we will work inside and complete all aspects of the repair and patch any holes so homeowners are not forced to live with workers inside their home more than 1 business day.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have over 35 years of experience in residential construction and remodeling. I have oversaw the construction from start to finish of more than 1,500 homes in the Dallas area ranging in size from 1200 square feet to over 15,000 square feet. During my career with volume builders I established a good source of subcontractors for every facet of new home construction. I know which subs are good and have been able to help them with their business growth and they have returned the favor. I have worked and been trained as a structural analyst and property inspector and have been employed as a project manager and even worked in upper management for a major home builder before establishing my company in 2003. I can read blueprints, engineer reports and I have been trained on the various soil types and how to properly construct a new foundation or how to repair a existing foundation.
