Introduction: We are a multi-cultural community mental health (MH) clinic with affordable MH services related to substance abuse/dependence, mental retardation/pervasive development disorder, EAP, court ordered evaluation/treatments and counseling to individuals, couples, families and groups. We offer IOP and SOP programs for adults and juveniles as well as serving probation, CPS and legal clients. Our services address a wide range of mental health problems and are provided by dedicated and experienced mental health professionals, which include a fully licensed psychologist and licensed professional counselors. We welcome referrals from the school districts as we have programs for children and adolescents. We accept most commercial insurances: Aetna, Amerigroup, APS, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Compcare, Humana, Interface EAP, Lifesynch, Magellan Behavioral Health, Medicaid, MHNet, Molina, UBH and others. Payment plans are also available for self-pay patients. Our Mission is to provide quality services for mental health, developmental disabilities and substance abuse/dependence problems to assist people in managing their challenges effectively and to function successfully in their family and/or environment.

I went through the IOP and Thinking For a Change classes and was surprised by how much it helped me through a difficult time. To be honest, I was dreading having to go; it was a dark and stressful period in my life and I could not see a light at the end of the tunnel. You get out what you put into it. Everyone's there for a reason, and I knew mine. Not only were the counselors knowledgeable, they knew what questions to ask in order for you to really evaluate yourself; why you do what you do, and how can you change that. In addition, getting to hear other people's stories in a safe environment really made me feel like I wasn't alone with my struggles. Looking back now, I realize how invaluable the services were for me, and the tools I have now help me every day as I move forward.

We went to Sigma counseling services as we had relationship issues. We have been married for 7 years and have two children. Lately we have been fighting constantly and life became miserable. Our therapist was very understanding and insightful. She made us do exercises at home to examine our behaviors and expectations. We are much happier now than we ever have been. We learned to respect each other's expectations and goals and work together as a couple on those priorities that were important to our lives. Thank you Sigma for giving back our marriage!

My first counseling experience was with Sigma Counseling. I was nervous to discuss personal matters with a stranger but my counselor made me feel very comfortable from the first session. I was required to go to sigma counseling for a CPS case. During this time I was required to take parenting classes as well as individual counseling and SOP. All of the counselors are great. They are understanding and caring to your personal situations. I feel as if my time here at Sigma was time well spent. I would personally go back on my own time for any counseling needs I may have in the future and I would recommend Sigma to anyone in need of counseling as well.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The pricing varies from program to program. If there is medical insurance, then a copay will be determined. Once you call to schedule an appointment, you may inquire about the price of your session with or without medical insurance coverage.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically there is an intake where psychosocial and clinical information is gained by the therapist from the patient.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All our therapy staff are at least Masters Degree level of Education. We have a fully licensed Psychologist, an LPC and LPC-S on our staff board. All our staff undergo continual training as needs require.
