Introduction: My counseling approach is largely person centered. I believe human beings are created for connection with one another. I also believe people are wired for growth and capable of learning from past experiences.
I enjoy working with adolescents, emerging adults, adults, couples, and families. Since the traditional person-centered approach does not espouse specific therapeutic techniques or interventions, I prefer to incorporate elements from the Adlerian, cognitive behavioral, Gestalt, and existential approaches to counseling for family issues, behavioral or thought issues, emotional issues, and spiritual issues. I can also incorporate elements of Christian counseling and Scripture-inspired counseling if this is preferred.
In addition to the areas mentioned above, I also love working with couples in premarital counseling, individuals who are having issues while dating, and newly divorcing individuals.
In fact, I will be starting a group in February for newly divorced individuals, a group called Suddenly Single.
I am a Mental Health Counseling graduate student. Currently, I am working with clients at a discounted rate as I complete my last year of schooling. As an intern, I cannot accept insurance. I work under the supervision of Nena Rybarczyk, MA, EMBA, LPC, NCC, CPCS (Georgia license number LPC006876).
