Introduction: I work both one-on-one and in small group settings to provide individualized tutoring tailored to the goals established during a brief orientation. I have lived in France for a year and have the capacity to speak French at a C2 level. I have a Bachelor's Degree in French from the University of Illinois with a specialty in Phonetics and pronunciation. I also collaborate with a partner in our joint tutoring business called Teach Me Français. This allows you access to a plethora of information, as we share all of our ressources. I enjoy creating specialized plan d'attaque for each individual student's needs. From French culture, to pronunciation, to nailing down verb conjugation, everyone has a different goal and I love helping people get there.

Working with Emilee was such a fun and pleasant experience. She helped me prepare for my trip to France and I felt so comfortable with her teaching style. I told her I learned better with listening activities and she made my own personal voice tracks. Truly goes above and beyond!

I took French in high school and a few semesters of college, but never reached conversational proficiency. Emilee has been such a pleasure to work with and has given me the confidence to reach a new level in French! She is a patient and fun tutor that has an undeniable passion for the French language and culture. French Tutoring Services offers an absolutely excellent program for students at all levels learning French. Emilee has a strong teaching ability and always provides clear and concise explanations of complicated grammar rules. As her student, I find that Emilee meets the perfect balance in her lessons by emphasising important grammar rules while making the lesson dynamic and really fun. Emilee provides a lot of feedback outside of the tutor session, and always makes herself available for questions outside of the lesson. I really appreciate Emilee's accommodation to how you learn best as a student. Emilee caters her lesson plan based on what kind of tools/exercises help you learn best. Following each lesson, Emilee provides a variety of audio and visual exercises as homework to continue working on the concepts discussed in class. Her enthusiasm for the French language is contagious and I always look forward to my next lesson with her. You are in great hands if you're her student!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing varies based on the individual case. I do my best to prepare a lesson that is unique by creating new materials and gathering a variety of sources. All of this plays into the cost of a lesson. I understand hiring a tutor is an expense and your time and investment are two aspects that I do not take lightly.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We begin with a 30-minute FREE trial lesson. This allows us to establish a timeline, understand your goals and give me a sense of your prior understanding of French, if any. Lessons can follow one of the tracks we have developed (see teachmefrancais.com) or be completely unique. From this point, the process is entirely based on the needs and desires of the student.
