Introduction: Rasha is a masters level therapist at Gilbert Counselors Practice. Rasha's theoretical approach is trauma based with a CBT/DBT emphasis.
Rasha is a certified clinical trauma professional and is registered with the International Association of Trauma Professionals (IATP).
Rasha also facilitates a Mindfulness and Meditation Practice once a week for an hour to teach skills of how to be mindful and present. She incorporates much of the same skills in her therapy sessions.
Not only is Rasha's educational background in the behavioral/mental health field, but for the past 8 years, she has worked in various roles in the mental health field. She started out working for DCS (formerly known as CPS) and then transitioned to working as a case manager at different agencies with kids, teens, and adults. In her most recent position, she worked at an agency as a supervisor with young adults providing direct support services and helping them with their mental and emotional needs.
Rasha takes an eclectic approach to therapy but has a strong foundation in trauma and the use of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills. She works with individuals, couples, and families.
