FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A free consultation is always the first step. It's important for potential clients and their fur babies to meet the face & person behind the business.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I always knew that I wanted to help animals. But the question was how? I knew I didn't want to be a vet tech or a veterinarian. I spent time volunteering at local animal shelters, but I always left with an overwhelming sadness and feeling of helplessness. After realizing the difficulty of finding quality pet care for my own fur babies I had one of those AhHa moments. I decided to quit my full time job & steady income and start Task For Tails. Working as a dog walker & pet sitter allows me to spend quality time with animals, as well as give me the opportunity to help the animals who aren't lucky enough to have a loving home yet (shelter animals). Each month I donate something to our local shelters whether it's food, blankets, assist in funding for medical care, etc. I am so thankful that I chose to take a leap of faith and start this business. This is truly what I'm meant to be doing and I am so thankful for the opportunity to meet new people and their pets.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I am lucky enough to spend most of my time with animals. Throughout my life and this career I have been lucky enough to bond with many types of animals, breeds, ages, and personalities. Some are more loving and trusting from the get go, while others I have to earn their trust. Some have way more energy and need more exercise, while others may have disabilities or recent surgeries and require special attention. Just like people every animal has a different personality & need. I do my best to meet the needs and expectations of each owner and pet.
