Jackson worked for me for 4 years as staff photographer in the Office of the President at Ringling College of Art and Design.
During this time he was responsible for a host of very high-profile, complex and VIP-oriented studio and on-site photo shoots from portraiture work, product and artwork photography, exhibitions, press conferences, special events coverage, journalistic-style work and highly innovative large-scale creative shoots.
His responsibility on these projects included creative strategy and ideation as well as production deisgn and direction, project management, overall aesthetics, styling, shooting, and post-production/digital imaging in addition to leading large, multidisiplinary teams on complex shoots and with incredible deadlines.
He has dealt with all sorts of very demanding, high profile subjects and situations in very stressful situations - where he is a calm force in the storm. These included the College President, the Governor of Florida, Hollywood and Indie Film Luminaries (such as Forrest Whitaker, Elijah Wood, Marc Antony, Roman Coppola, Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, Dylan McDermott, Justin Long, Matt Dillon, Richard Dreyfus and many more...) as well as assisting on several large feature film productions including Anna Paquin's "Free Ride" and Harmony Korine's "Spring Breakers," where he was assistant to the producer.
He has created work for dozens of intimate, private VIP events as well as those with guests numbering in the hundreds.
I cannot fully emphasize how outstanding an artist, professional, and individual Jackson is.
In my 30 years of experience as a public relations + strategic communications professional and supervising a litany of photographers, I can confidently say Jackson is an absolute blessing to work with him.
He is one of the most creative, intelligent, organized, accomplished, personable and talented people I have had the honor to work with.
His ability to keep amazingly calm in the most chaotic of circumstances is incredible and rivals most professionals with 20+ years experience. And, I should add my standards are ridiculously high and I am a consummate critic.
His proactivity, reliability, ability to take critique and overall personality and integrity are quite a rare find.
In addition to his photography work, he is an incredible fine artist with a wide body of work including painting, innovative 2D and multimedia installation work and a great command of the fine arts process.
I wish this ranking had 10 stars because that is what he deserves.

I worked with Jackson on a number of occasions, and always he was outstanding in every way. The quality of his work is extremely high, and he is such a pleasure to work with. Whenever I had a job that I needed to have done, I asked Jackson first, hoping he was available.
