- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start by identifying the customer's needs and then the customer and I work together to create a list of goals he or she wants to attain. The various goals become the daily lessons I teach. To ensure mastery, I also give exercises to enable the student to practice the lessons.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a PhD in Communication and I've taught various public speaking classes at University of Memphis, Johnson C Smith University, W. L. Porter Institute, and at various churches.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started helping people refine their public speaking skills while working on my PhD in Communication at University of Memphis. U of M hired me to teach various communication classes. More than any other class, I've taught public speaking the most.
