FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every standard type of service has a printed price schedule that we would be happy to show you in the store. We have tried to consider every type of obstacle or situation such as stairways, interior door, and multi-level installations too difficult to access hot tub control boxes. We have a standard labor rate and always credit estimate charges to the actual work if you decide to proceed (when an estimate is requested).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We do not have a preconceived process for working with any customer as each customers needs and expectations are different. We like to find out exactly what the customer wants as an end result and the explore the ways to achieve that result.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The most important education is the experienced gained from some 20 plus years in the business. Over that time we have come across just about every type of billiard table, pool and spa in the business and have learned how to deal with difficult installations from 4th story balconies to narrow basements. We are certified by the ABIA (American Billiard Installers Association) and the NSPF (National Swimming Pool Foundation) and have taken part in almost any and all training offered by major manufacturers in the industry. Our water techs are trained and have passed certification from Haviland ProTeam and King Technologies Frog Mineral Systems as well as alternative systems such as saltwater and biguanides and are Pool & Spa Pros on the Lamotte Spinlab and Waterlink advanced water analysis system. No matter what it is you need us to do, when it comes to billiard tables, pools, hot tubs or water care, nobody knows more or cares more about your situation than Tidewater Recreational Technicians.
