FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
'It depends' always seems like a cop-out, but it really does depend on your budget and what you need. I'm happy to work within a budget as long as it also makes sense for me.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The most important thing for me when working with a new client is to make sure that I'm meeting your expectations. So whenever I start working with someone new, I like to meet one-on-one [in person, on the phone, or video conference]. That way nothing gets lost in a long back and forth email chain. Plus I get to know a little more about you which helps me create a better final product. :)
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My degree was a Bachelor of Fine Arts [BFA] in Media Arts and Animation. It required a strong foundation in composition and drawing. I also took painting courses during and after school in oil. Currently I work more in acrylic and watercolor - it is my preference. Since I work professionally as a designer, I'm also versed in digital media. I know how to paint in Photoshop and use Illustrator to create vector graphics like logos, icons and infographics. I have some background in video(animation degree) and web so I also know how to prep my design files for these outputs.
