FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Custom Fine Jewelry is very unique and every designed piece that is created will cost different from the one prior. I have items that are for sale on my website with pricing info.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The custom design process is sometimes different based on customer needs. However, typically, it starts with a phone/txt conversation about the needs of the client. Once we have discovered the needs, we schedule a face to face appointment to begin initial design concepts, look at previous jewelry items that the client may want re-designed or stones removed to use for the new design. This is the discovery session. I will usually provide a rough estimate during this face to face meeting. Once the custom design process begins I need roughly 4-8 weeks to complete the project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a 4 year BA degree in Art & Design from Columbia College Chicago. I studied fine art and design, within these two areas of study I learned bench jewelry basics and metalsmithing, as well as basic stone setting techniques. I later worked as a fine jewelry apprentice for 4 years prior to starting my business in 2011.
