Introduction: Thanks for taking a look at my profile. We hope you find that my independent home inspections are superior to the industry standard "realtor refereed inspection". "Don't bite the hand that feeds you". We've all heard this saying before and for most home inspectors it influences how they inspect a home. Did you know that 99% of home inspectors depend on realtor refferals for their business. If they provide the customer a thorough inspection there is a possibility that the sale will fall through and the realtor will not get their commission. Fear of loosing realtor referrals controls what a home inspector is willing to disclose to the customer. So how does my service stand out? I am a realtor independent inspector, one of only three in Ohio and less than 125 nationwide. I don't depend on realtor referrals for my business and I certainty don't let anyone influence my inspection. Sometimes my inspections reveal shocking truths about a home that lead you to back out of the deal, and I even may strongly advise you not to buy the home. So even though I would love realtor referrals, working in the best interest of a home buyer is a threat to the realtors commission and eliminates me from most realtors preferred inspectors list. My goal is to look out for you, your interests, happiness, and financial well being with regards to your new home purchase. Period! I have chosen to run an ethical home inspection company in an industry full of mystery and conflicts of interest. Knowing that I am doing what is right for my customers brings great satisfaction and fulfillment to the work I do.

Our inspection went great. Justin was wonderful to deal with. He showed up early, was super friendly and really helped explain things while he was conducting the inspection. He checked everything in every room, answered our random questions along the way and overall just made us feel very comfortable about the whole process. We didn't have to worry about something getting covered up or pushed through just so we buy the home. He was just honest, personable and just gave it to us straight. My husband and I both have family in the electrical and home construction business and he is the real deal. He's knowledgeable and knows what he's looking at and recommends what needs to be looked at by specialists. We very much appreciated his help.

Justin arrived on time and was finished in the time frame he quoted. He did an extremely detailed job of inspecting all areas of the house and was honest and reassuring about his findings and our concerns. He took the time to answer our questions, was polite and professional. He has superior knowledge and knows what to look for. One tip is that he could add shoe protectors. After walking outside and on the roof I would have liked to know that he wasn't tracking in additional dirt or bugs into my home. Overall he did an excellent job! His report came within 24 hours and included pictures and comments, as well as material make up, which was a nice piece of information to have when it comes to roofing or insulation.

I recently had a home inspection on a house that we are looking at buying by Reveal Home Inspections. I had called two inspectors that my realtor recommended and then tried to find some others not associated with my realtor. Reveal bills themselves as one of a few home inspectors in Ohio which are truly independent from any realtor, which I valued. On such an investment it is important to have the truth about the house and potential problems down the road. I interacted with Justin and he was very prompt to schedule an appointment and answer my questions about his business and work before the inspection. On the day of the inspection he was on time (already there when I arrived) and had no problems with me accompanying him on the inspection and asking questions. He also helpfully pointed out all the shutoffs in the house and gave tips on maintenance for the furnace, hot water heater and other major household items. During the inspection he found several issues in the house, and with that knowledge will give us peace of mind when going through with the purchase. Overall I found Justin very thorough and professional and would highly recommend Reveal Home Inspections for your house inspection needs, especially if you want a truly independent inspection.

Yes. The prices are always listed on our website and are based on the finished sq. ft. of living space.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
You can simply call or email me to schedule a home inspection. During the scheduling I can take a few minutes to address any questions or concerns you may have. I will then meet you at the scheduled inspection time (we hope you can make it) and walk through the home inspection with the you. At this time I can show the you all of our findings and answer any questions you have. Payment is due at the end of the inspection and the report will be delivered the next day. If any further support is needed, I will be available as long as you need me.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Certified professional inspector (NACHI). The first inspectors in Ohio to join Independent Home inspectors of North America. Ohio licensed radon tester. Ohio licensed wood destroying insect inspector. More than 15 years inspecting/residential construction/building science.
