Introduction: My name is Scott Ramsey and I am the owner of Life Through a Lens Photography (also known as LTAL Photography). I reside in the San Francisco Bay Area which is also where I was born and raised. I was not always into photography but I developed an interest in it while taking many photos with my point-and-shoot Sony camera during a trip to Mendocino back in 2010. After a while, I developed an eye for photography but needed more out of my equipment. In 2013, I purchased my first DSLR camera and was immediately enthralled with the endless possibilities of the DSLR world. After shooting many events for family and friends in 2014 and 2015, I decided to start Life Through a Lens Photography in 2016.
LTAL Photography specializes in everything from family portraits, engagement parties, weddings, birthdays, senior pictures, sporting events, and many more. You may see samples of some of my work on this website as well as some prints from my personal collection which are available for purchase.
I truly enjoy photography and I love the responses from my clients when I present them with the memories I have captured. Whether it is a little league baseball game or a wedding, I will put all of my effort into capturing those special moments. I look forward to working with you and your loved ones so that we may preserve your memories forever.

I was lucky enough to have found Scott through a Craigslist add. I haven't had much luck on Craigslist in the past and didn't even expect to receive a response. However, Scott changed all of that. From the moment I called he was extremely responsive and super easy to talk to. In fact, at the end of our first conversation I remember saying, "That's it? It feels weird that this process went so smoothly". He totally understood my style of photography (more candid vs. posed) and was able to capture all of the details of my son's 4th birthday party seamlessly without any direction. The pictures were beautiful and he was able to obtain the essence of the celebration. He also was able to edit and send me the entire gallery of pictures to share with my family & friends after only 3 days of the party! Scott is flexible, readily available, responsive, incredibly talented, and very affordable. We also discovered that we live a couple of miles from each other (lol) so we found our new family photographer and are very excited to work with him again in the near future

I ran across Scott through a random FB ad and I've never been so happy with a vendor! I was in need of an affordable and skilled photographer for a multi day high school event and Scott was fantastic. He took the time before the event to call and get all the specifics and made sure that all my questions were answered. On the days of the events he was prompt, professional and the students loved him! He was able to fit right in and get candid pics that they are still downloading! The best part was how quickly Scott uploaded our photos to an easy to use online gallery for viewing. We couldn't be more happy with his work and look forward to using him for years to come as our school photographer!
