Introduction: I have a BFA., M.M & DMA in piano with 20+ years of teaching young people to reach their personal best through music. Lessons include developing technique, reading music & learning to play a variety of musical styles which kids love from the great classics to movie, broadway and pop music. Students also learn about composers lives, theory & history of music.

Dr. B is not only a respected concert pianist, she is also a skilled and knowledgeable teacher who is able to recognize the level of her students' current ability and sensitively guide each of them toward developing their unique musical potential. As a retiree returning to the piano after many years, I treasured her quick perception of my problems with the pieces I was learning, and her ability to know precisely what techniques would help me bring out the true meaning of the music. When I watched her interacting with her younger students during our Master Classes in preparation for recitals, I was impressed with her respectful approach, as well as her high expectations of them. Their progress over the five years I studied with her was really outstanding.

Josh had previous short lived piano lessons. But with Hummingbird, he LOVES to practice! The rewards he gets from the box if he practices on the required days has initially encouraged him. Now, he does it for fun and relaxation.
