THE Pack: Big D's Best Buds
About this pro
Amazing training session! We learned a lot of great training techniques that we can use on our own to help with our pup. I saw improvement with my dog right away and it has really helped us! I would 100% recommend!Apr 10, 2018Verified

A great dog trainer. We saw progress instantly. Very easy going and friendly. On time and very polite. Gave us very good tips to work on and I liked how he has a balanced approach towards dog training.Mar 17, 2018Verified
Larry came in calm and collected when our new german shepherd was barking his head off at the "sign" of an intruder. He was understanding and explained things in a way that we could easily process and execute on our own in the future. We will definitely be using him for any troubled spots in the future, as well as boarding Cooper with him in a few weeks!Jan 10, 2018Verified
I appreciate Larry and the time he spent with us. We have a Terrier mix that barks and reacts to other dogs. He was able to identify and understand the situation, ask us the right questions and offered slight changes to our routine, which I feel will make a huge difference. He was very patient with me, listening to ALL of my questions and providing advice. I am a coach by profession, so I know good coaching when I see it, and Larry is worth the time.Nov 12, 2017Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Just as dogs are individuals, so are training plans. Depending on your needs, we can do hourly "issue sessions" or I have package training information available to email for obedience, boarding, and board/train.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I think through a few messages you can get the feel of a person, but a meet and greet is definitely a must. With "behavioral issues" it would be necessary for us to not only see how the dog acts in his/her environment when addressing the behaviors, but also to see how you act/react. We would need to make a big picture training plan, as well as communicating more detailed session-based plans, of how we can address not only your pet's actions, but teach you how you can sustain the good behaviors and be the pack leader, so y'all can have a balanced and happy home life.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have been part of training three dogs to perfect scores on the Canine Good Citizen Test as administered by the Missouri Humane Society (again, those being sheltered for over one year and deemed "hard to adopt", whether because of size alone or aggression). I also have been working with the large breed/aggressive dogs at the Operation Kindness shelter in Carrollton. I am certified thru Animal Behavior College as a Dog Obedience Instructor. I also have a 7 yr old 80 lb Golden/Lab/Husky mix, who I've had since he was a pup, is great for socializing and is a registered service dog.
