Alex is the BEST you can find. He removed my tiles throughout bathroom, laundry room and a bedroom/gym room. Also he removed my carpet for second floor including stairs. He is fast, and did great work! also great value. I would recommend him to anyone I know. Great help to get me ready for my tight scheduled LVP flooring project. Thanks a BUNCH!

Alex earned a Thumbtack Pro badge for 2021 and 1018. He has thirty-one reviews where each one of his clients handed him five stars! No wonder he is in high demand. We were lucky to get him. I’m writing another five-star review because he deserves it. Only one other contractor I’ve used meets this standard. Short story first. The garage door technician replaced our springs. He came to the living room with the invoice. When he saw Alex’s tiling, he was in awe – speechless. He retired from installing tiles for nine years. He touched the tiles and grout. Was it real? It was so smooth, he thought it was marble! I agree with the other reviews. But for me, his integrity was outstanding. Alex is methodical. He uses lasers to check how straight everything is. He made a mistake trusting the brick's alignment. When he realized this, Alex took off the tiles. Then reinstalled them after fixing the brick. Then we asked him to install wood slats. Alex is not a carpenter. He put a generous amount of water-based glue. The moisture in the air made the glue swell. Alex removed the crooked wood and replaced them. This time, he used a glue without water. It succeeded. Another rare treat was Alex’s sense of art. He understood what my wife’s vision of the fireplace design. He looked at many tile pieces first. He produced a pattern which was elegant. Alex didn’t like the quiet. Like us, he preferred classical piano. No complaints. He keeps us informed. Neat and tidies up after. Punctual. His service is at a fair value. I recommend Alex Mata without hesitation.
