The actual physical move went well - I will say the movers took were very careful and moved quickly. The Company was very flexible to setup timing and movers even arrived early. All was fine until payment time when they said my credit card would be run for double the quoted amount. What??? When I questioned "why" I was advised there was a 2 hour minimum. This minimum charge was stated nowhere in the quotes (snapshots attached). Even though the move actually took under an hour it did not occur to the representative to mention the minimum charge and it is a known Thumbtack app defect that it doesn't include the minimum charge but I should have asked. Lesson learned! Even when info is quoted in writing I will ask about "hidden up-charges" in the future and read all reviews. All being said, again the actual movers did do a good job its just a shame that minimums weren't stated or quoted anywhere in the correspondence.May 23, 2018VerifiedH.E.L.P.! I apologize once again for the oversight. The minimum should and usually is mentioned well in advance. Mr. G says that he was not advised of it and I accept his word on the matter. Nevertheless, our minimum is only two hours, the lowest minimum of all of our competitors and it is barely enough to cover expenses.
