- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Addictions counseling is quoted at $120 an hour. I am a licensed addictions counselor in conjunction with co-occurring disorders. What does this mean to you? I share with you years of knowledge, guidance, support and so on, all that has been passed on to me by great teachers over the course of several years.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first session involves getting to know some of the main reasons someone is interested in counseling. It gives clients an opportunity to see if they feel comfortable with me, in the environment and if they feel I can provide effective services. Additionally, it allows me to share with clients my education, experience, training, and skills as well as my main therapeutic approach (CBT) and other approaches that could be helpful. The second and sometimes the third session is spent signing necessary paper, putting together a treatment plan, and filling out some assessments or profile that can be helpful in guiding treatment.
