FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I will more than likely not be the lowest bidder, so if a client is simply looking to pay the lowest price possible for a job, I am not the right contractor for the job. I take a lot of pride in my work, and that takes time, I do not cut corners, and my price will not change after the bid I submit (unless the client changes something). A lot of contractors will give you a dirt cheap price, only to raise that price after the contract has been signed, you will not get that with Lotus Tile. My price is my price. Pricing varies by project and details, I do not price my jobs by square-footage as there are far too many variables for such a simple approach. All labor, installation materials, Schluter trim, and Mapei Ultracolor Plus FA grout, are included in my estimates. The cost of the tile itself, is not typically included in the estimate cost as the prices vary drastically. However, I would be happy to offer an updated bid including tile after speaking with the client and their specific wants and square footage. I offer a 10% discount to all active duty and retired military, law enforcement, and firefighters, as well as seniors. Please mention this discount when contacting me.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have have been in the tile industry for 10 years. In that time I have completed training courses with various product manufacturers to better understand their products. As well as staying up to date on the latest standards put out by the National Tile Contractors Association.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always had an interest in construction, and joined another female tradesperson 10 years ago and began my passionate career in tile. I had been working as a handy person, and decided that I wanted to focus on one trade specifically. Tile is a detailed and artistic trade, I have a deep love and appreciation for the art of tile. I am passionate about my trade, which is why I focus solely on tile.
