Charissa was very professional even offer to have the another crew to come back and redo what was never cleaned. I really have to think about it and am not sure if I can. Jill is very unprofessional and shouldn't be inside people's Homes. Half of my house was not cleaned, the more I look the more I see what was not done. Paula, Yesterday was not a good experience for you as the client. I do apologize tremendously and have tried to make things right to the best of my ability. It is very unfortunate that things happened as they did and everything that you and I discussed has been noted and will be used in our trainings and my personal meetings with my employees. I do appreciate your honesty and have made the changes that need to be made to continue providing clean homes to our future clients. I do understand the reasons of your review and have done everything I could to alleviate the situation that occurred. I wish you would have allowed us another opportunity to make things right before resorting to a permanent review of my company over a situation that I believe would have been fixed with another cleaning team. "when I say maid" is just what I needed to fit my weird schedule. We just finished building a house in south Tampa and have a 4 month old. Life gets pretty chaotic these days. When I say maids is SUPER user friendly, with a portal to schedule all my cleanings. I also use them for my investment properties, super efficient and trust worthy. I have lost two maids since moving into our home one to theft the other to not showing up. To start with, she got lost getting here and was an hour late. That being said, one person, spent the entire day cleaning our 3 bedroom townhouse- including refrigerator and over. Did an excellent job. My one complaint was that it took so long. I am not used to that. In the past, when hiring a cleaning service it was 2-3 people. for 2-3 hours. We do apologize about our cleaner being late. She felt terrible that she could not find your home. Typically the first cleanings take the longest because the cleaner is new to your home and the additional services of deep cleaning the fridge and oven do take extra time. We choose to send one cleaner to our client's home so that a relationship can be built. You will receive the same cleaner at each cleaning that way there is consistency and you will always know who will be at your home. Thank you for continuing to do business with us and I am glad that you are happy with your clean home!
After I booked the service, I read the various reviews on Thumbtack (should have done that beforehand. Lesson learned) and saw that some customers had not been satisfied and that the cleaning person had gone back to handle what had not been cleaned well in the first place. I emailed Charissa and told her I needed to have someone who was good as, due to lack of time, I couldn't afford to have the cleaning redone. Charissa ensured this would be done properly. Tammy's job of my house was half done. Some parts were well done and some parts (such as the piano, the shelves, etc) were not done at all. When I emailed Charissa to that effect, she answered that she was sure that if Tammy had noticed the undone areas, she would have done them. I don't know how one can miss a piano and shelves. In any case, I asked to be refunded some part of the price I had paid and Charissa did so, extremely fast. The reason I am writing this review is to insist on COMPETENCE. If When I Say Maid promotes perfect cleaning of one's house, this should be the case and it is their responsibility to ensure the people they hire do a good job. (Our plan has been uncovered!) - We offer home cleanings with transparent pricing. - We ask the client in person if they're satisfied. - We follow-up the next day with a survey and expect to be told great has become good. - We offer a re-clean for zero cost, at their earliest convenience, with a new cleaner and are turned down. - We offer several other alternatives to the client to resolve the situation again the client is not satisfied. - Client asks for a refund and we issue it immediately ... We got what we really wanted though, we got experience working with a difficult client. Next time we're at one of our satisfied client's home we thank them for being them and welcome the next difficult client to help us become better.
I have been back and forth on whether or not I should write a review. The "cleaning" was terrible. They pretended that they vacuumed and mopped, they didn't. They ran the vacuum over a couple spots on the carpet and the rest you could tell they didn't do (no lines at all). When I re-vacuumed the house I had a full barrel to dog hair/dirt to empty (so I know they faked it)... I never saw the tile floors wet, and I could tell when I walked on the floor it was sticky and had not been mopped. They didn't know what a duvet cover was, or how to do laundry (I only needed the duvet cover washed, and the sheets for 1 bed, nothing else...) When they put the duvet cover on they but two buttons in one button hole??? And when I re-did the bed sheets they had just put a pillowcase on-top of the other pillow case, instead of taking it off and putting the new one on??? Super strange... When I saw weird things like that I thought they must be on drugs or something... Even though they looked like sweet nice normal girls... It baffled me on what they could have done in my house for 3 hours. It was like they made the place worse. The windows that they "wiped" were completely smudged everywhere - same for the table... They wiped down the stainless steal with an improper cleaner and it was all streaky everywhere. I immediately fixed this and re-wiped it with stainless steal cleaner when they went upstairs (using the wrong cleaner can stain and ruin stainless steal.) Nothing was wiped down, dust everywhere... The toilets were left with cleaner sprinkled in them (not wiped) as if they started and forgot to complete them... They also put the comforter on the bed the wrong way- Needed to be turned 90 degrees (again making me question if they were on drugs or something.. How do you screw that up??)... It was the strangest thing I'd ever seen. A child could do a better job cleaning. I swear they gave me more work re-doing everything than if I just cleaned the house myself... It was truly the worst job I have ever seen. I am still baffled... But I also want to say, whenever I read reviews, I always wonder who is writing the review... So I want to tell you a bit about me... I keep my house very nice, and I even get it ready for cleaners to come in so it is super easy for them... We also have no kids, and it is new construction so the place is pretty much perfect to begin with... If a cleaner can't do a good job at my place, I don't know how they can do a good job anywhere... But the reason I didn't want to write a review was because of how the owner Charissa handled the situation. She offered to have other cleaners come and re-clean the house (I didn't want anyone coming back though.. I didn't want to waste any more of my time in case the next people were just as bad). And she didn't charge me. She did the right thing as a business owner. My suggestion to her is to only hire quality people (maybe even drug testing them wouldn't hurt)... Teresa, Thank you for the kind words that you mentioned about me. The two cleaners that you have spoken about are no longer with us. But in their regards, they did both have prior experience and passed very in depth nationwide background checks. I find it very offensive that you would refer to my employees as being on drugs. I understand your frustrations and did everything in my power to make it right with you. I even offered to come out MYSELF and clean your home, not just send the same two cleaners. What I dont understand is why you felt it necessary to voice such a strong opinion, when I personally worked with you over the course of three days to resolve any issues that you had. Why three weeks later are you still concerned about our business when you were never charged, completely deleted from our portal, and were given my full attention on making things right? Thank you for your review. I really appreciate you personally trying to make us look even worse than we already felt following your cleaning.
