I'm a certified MN teacher with a Master Degree in Curriculum and Design.
I enjoy working with elementary and middle school students. My specialty is mathematics, reading, and organizational strategies. I tutor in all subject areas k-6 and mathematics and social studies for grades 7 and 8.

My daughter Danielle has always struggled in math. By fourth grade, she was really falling behind in class, so her teacher thought that it would be a good idea for Danielle get some extra math help after school, and Jana Brain was the tutor that she highly recommended! My daughter began working with Jana 2-3 times a week, and WOW..a Huge improvement!! not only in her grades, but also in her overall confidence at school. We continued working with Jana, 5th and 6th grade as well.
Jana is superb at math, and has an amazing ability to be able to explain each step of any given problem in a way that the child can understand, and then work it on their own. She is extremely patient, and just super sweet! My daughter looked forward to seeing her each week!

Jana tutored my son in middle school. He was struggling in all of his subjects. She also helped him with organization and other skills to help him be successful. His grades improved significantly during the time he worked with Jana. She seemed to be able to get him to want to do his very best for her, which is a tremendous asset for a teacher to have. I don't give recommendations out easily, but give Jana a big thumbs up!
