FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $75 per hour for general obedience training and $100 an hour for specialty training such as service dog training. If this pricing is a problem please contact me and we can work something out!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At our free consultation appointment I like to meet the dog and get a taste of what is going on in the home environment. This gives me an idea of what we need to work on first to reach our goals. I go over with the Owner what's expected of them and an estimated amount of time it will take to complete the training. At our other appointments I will go over what we will be working on for the next week (or two if you would like to space out your sessions). First I work with the dog and then I have you work with the dog so I can make sure you are doing it right. By the end of the session your dog should be a tired pup and ready for a rest! I like to use clicker training and treats but I know not every person likes to do this but I will always use positive training methods. If we aren't using clicker training it will be positive verbal praise and usually petting or toys depending on the behavior asked.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an animal behavior college certified dog trainer!
