FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing considers my years of experience and knowledge, as well as travel/location etc. (whether you come to me or I come to you)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically in the first lesson, I try to get to know you, get to know your tastes in music, or anything else for that matter. I also want to know your goals as a musician so that I can then set my goals for our lessons. I want to create a timeline that ensures your success, as well as maintains a fun atmosphere.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor of Arts degree in Music Performance with a Jazz Concentration. It was a traditional school, so that means my studies were strictly classical music and performance, and 40s, 50s, and 60s jazz (bebop mostly). In those two idioms, I studied the history, the music theory, arrangement, and general musicianship skills as well (ear training, transcription, etc..) Outside of school, I've always been a rocker, but also a huge fan of funk music.
