FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing structure for basketball training, both individual and group sessions, can be found on my website under "Team 2Four Basketball" and "individual/group training" For fitness training, please contact me directly for pricing.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For all my clients, I like to begin with a phone call prior to any training to understand how my client feels and what goals they have and how they feel I can help them meet those goals. For basketball, I always like to begin with an evaluation workout. We typically will touch upon the basic areas of basketball: shooting, dribbling, passing, and defense, as well as player position specifics. I also will go into strength, agility, and conditioning drills as well, to determine the level of athletic prowess. Since athleticism and conditioning are highly impactful on performance, I do like to a little bit of time in each session working on some aspect of athletic development, particularly where the player is weakest. For fitness, whether lifestyle or competitive, I like to also begin with an evaluatory workout to help gauge where we are, and in turn, be able to compare that to where my client wants to be. Then we discuss things such as nutrition, rest, stress, and committment and how we plan to achieve the goals, against the timeline we have. I focus much of my training on functional strength, as opposed to classical lifting. Although I am experienced with classical lifts, I find them to be a good complement to functional strength work, that is more beneficial to any specific goal. You want the strength you have, to be useful to what you need it for! With both sport and fitness clients, my most important focal points as we progress is staying nimble in my plan to help adjust things to best fit my client, and keeping them on track and motivated!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have played basketball at the high school, college and professional levels, as well as competed in Track & Field at the high school and college level. I was a four-year HS letterwinner in basketball and a three-year letterwinner in track, a 2-time captain of #9 nationally-ranked D1-NJCAA Yavapai College, a 2-year letter winner at D1-NCAA IPFW in Fort Wayne, IN (in the Summit League) and played professionally in the German Professional Women's League (DBBL) for Viernheim and Quakenbrueck. I am also an active member of the Ghanaian Senior National Basketball Team.
