FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I'd like to set up an initial consultation with you first. We can discuss your current goals and any special needs or conditions you have. I am dedicated to working with each client on an individual basis to ensure a successful practice.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Joanne has spent over six years living in India teaching and training students from all over the world for their 200 and 300 Hour Yoga Alliance certification. She has helped co-ordinate and teach in over twenty five YTTC's. She continues to study and learn at every opportunity possible, building upon her E-RYT 500, RPYT (pre/post-natal yoga) and RCYT (yoga for children) certifications; accruing over 4,700 teaching hours and 1,700 hours of training. Joanne has also written three Yoga asana manuals to aid students in their certification process. She proudly became a Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance in 2015.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Yogita Yoga School was started by Joanne in the hope to share the healing powers of Yoga on a physical, mental and spiritual level with others. It is her desire to offer yoga sessions one-one, workshops, classes, teacher trainings and more. She strives to create an accepting and welcoming environment for students of all diversities and backgrounds. She understands that everyone's practice comes from somewhere unique and that everyone has their individual path to follow. Joanne wants to help each individual find their personal practice and make the journey that much more rewarding and clear. That path might be to share Yoga with others or it might be to delve into Svādhyāya, the practice of self study.
