Abbe Morrongiello
Introduction: I am a compassionate and patient teacher with experience teaching children with learning challenges. I like using humor when I teach, and I am very easygoing. I teach classical and popular music. The majority of my students want to learn songs that they know.
I use the Faber and Faber Piano method books, and I supplement the lessons with songs from musicnotes.com and accessory books that have well known songs. I tailor the music and my style to the student. Some parents have asked me to be more demanding, while some parents have asked me to be more lenient.
My goal is for my students to develop a love of music and develop self-confidence by being able to perform pieces they enjoy for their families and friends. The lessons are a half hour at the same time each week during the school year. I am currently charging $25 for a half-hour lesson, and I have been teaching for 25 years.

Abbe has given piano lessons to all 5 members of our family over the past 15 years! My goal was to have my children learn to appreciate music and I am so glad we had lessons with "Mrs. M". Mission accomplished!
My 20 year old daughter resumed lessons with Abbe this summer while home from college. My 17 year old son no longer takes lessons but often sits at the piano now to play, I notice its a way he relaxes when stressed.
She is more than a teacher to us now, she's a member of our family.

My son has been taking piano lessons from Abbe for last 4 years and my daughter has just started this fall. Our experience with Abbe has been excellent. She is patient, friendly and very committed to her students. She seems equally comfortable providing beginner as well as advanced lessons. We always look forward to listening to Abbe's students perform at the Devonshire music festival which she organizes each year.

Mrs. M is the best piano teacher anyone could ever ask for, no matter what age. She taught me how to accurately sight-read sheet music when my three previous teachers failed to do so. I worked with her for five years and she taught me how to play every song I requested ranging from radio tunes to classical music.
