Introduction: I'm a Certified Nutritional Therapist. I help people identify the root causes of health symptoms as they are very often related to nutritional deficiencies/dysfunctions. I make plans doable and suitable for your lifestyle, often some initial small changes can have a huge impact! It is becoming healthy made easy! I use a number of different non-invasive assessment tools and work with both individuals and groups, casual or corporate and in person or remotely. I went back to school after a successful finance career to become a nutritional therapist when I discovered my own health concerns were caused by nutritional deficiencies/dysfunctions. I have firsthand experience of what it's like to not be able to balance blood sugar, suffer from extreme fatigue, IBS, headaches, acid reflux, etc. I studied the science behind nutrition, but I also know how to make the changes easier and therefore possible in everyday life! I get no greater satisfaction than learning of a client's improved health!

"I feel the reason Annette has been able to help me attain my health goals is because she has firsthand experience with her own food challenges and has an authentic passion for healing through proper nutrition. During our first session, she customized a tangible plan for how I could improve my health habits and I had a better understanding of why certain foods and certain lifestyle behaviors were affecting my quality of life. My name is Maddison and I am a 20 year old college student that finally feels in control of their health. Well, I think the best way to start this off would be to explain how I used to feel. - My entire life I have had stomach problems: stomach aches, bloating, abnormal bowel movements, and cramps. Up until a few months ago when I started working with Annette, I couldn’t even remember the last time I felt truly healthy. - On top of stomach aches, I had really bad headaches, even migraines. At a point I honestly thought I had a brain tumor and was getting referrals to a see a neurologist. I had headaches, blurry vision, nausea, couldn’t sleep (only getting about 4 hours of sleep a night and waking up constantly, I eventually got prescribed Ambien to take on a nightly basis), excessive weight gain (without changing diet or exercise), never ending hunger with an excessive craving for carbs, and I was honestly an emotional roller coaster. - Last year, my first year at college, I went to the health center 25 times, Urgent Care twice, and even had to transfer my HMO down here because I was seeing so many doctors. In my mind it was obvious that something wasn’t right, but the doctors were never able to find anything. When I started talking to Annette I was quite skeptical, that was until she had me take the initial questionnaire and I saw proof that my problems were real. - Annette explained in easy to understand language how my symptoms could be relieved through dietary changes and different supplements of nutrients I could be lacking. Up until then I had always thought I had a healthy diet; I avoided junk food, didn’t eat fast food, ate whole grains, didn’t eat red meat. But then Annette educated me on the fact that some foods just don’t work with your body and how important the things you put in your body are in regard to your entire health. - Annette started off by suggesting some diet changes for one month to help with sugar handling and to see if taking this stuff away would improve my digestion and uncover some root causes of my symptoms. This immediately made me incredibly nervous because I had no clue how to go about this. I didn’t even know what I could eat and giving up all of these foods were honestly scary. Annette gave me lots of suggestions and tips as to how to make it easy. - After only 3 days of following Annette’s advice I already felt an extreme difference. I didn’t feel nauseous, I had a smaller appetite, my headaches were not as bad and less frequent and that was just the beginning. - It has now been 3 months and all these dietary changes have become a new lifestyle and I don’t ever want to go back. - I feel so good now, I don’t nap, I’m emotionally stable (no longer anxious or easy to cry and breakdown), I am finally losing weight, I no longer have migraines filled with blurry vision or nausea, and my most recent success is I have been able to sleep soundly through the night without the aid of prescription sleeping pills (Ambien). - As a result of the positive impact of some of the changes I made, my doctors also did eventually figure out I have a medical condition and prescribed me some medication, which I use currently in conjunction with the diet changes. - My end goal is to not have to take medication and be able to get everything I need nutritionally through foods and supplements. - Some days I break and take a few bites of things I shouldn't have and I feel it almost immediately and it reminds me why I made the changes to begin with. Getting adjusted to these dietary changes is hard in the beginning, but trust me how you feel after just a few weeks will make it all so worth it. - I went to the health center 25 times last school year, so far these 3 months of school I have been only once.
