Introduction: My guitar lessons do not have a set curriculum, because the curriculum is made individually for each student, depending on their goals, strengths, and interests. I have always strived for my guitar lessons and teaching style to bring the student to the point that they truly want to be at. Many other teachers and music schools will teach you strands of information that may have been interesting to them, but the same might not be true for the student. We are all individuals and have different tastes, and the lesson plans must take that into account. I am here to help students achieve their goals and desires on the instrument, and that is why my lessons stand out.
I have studied guitar with some of the finest teachers in the world, including David Fiuczynski, and Scott Tarulli. I have also studied Ear Training, Harmony, and Songwriting at Berklee College of Music. I am a registered member of the Music Teachers National Association and Illinois State Music Teachers Association.
My home studio has the latest technology in recording and guitar performance.
It includes:
-Digital Recording Capability for guitar, bass, and vocals.
-Sheet Music Library
-Music Stands
-Amps/Cords/Strings/Picks etc.
-Full collection of effects for guitar
-Pro Tools, Logic, Finale, and many other music softwares.
All students of mine will receive a welcome package at their first lesson including several special guitar goodies to say thank you for being my student.
All students will also receive a weekly video lesson in addition to their 1 on 1 private lesson.
A teaching position is a unique situation in which you get to learn more about yourself and your own ways of thinking than you would normally. I like helping people realize their goals and full potential and giving them the steps and motivation they need to reach their end result. I know the fact that my students are capable of more than they are aware of, so it is my job to make them aware of this, and to keep them on track to reaching their desired end product. I love situations where the student is overwhelmed by a certain musical challenge, and I encourage them, and then they are able to accomplish it faster than they ever thought possible. That is why I teach.
