I am a musician with a social services background, experienced working with special needs children and teenagers.
About me:
Nell has a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Elmhurst College. She is also a proud indie-musician, having released two full-length albums on her own. As a singer, songwriter, music teacher and therapist, her experience comes from 8 years of piano lessons, 14 years singing in various choirs, studying music theory in school and being self-taught on several other instruments.
I love sharing and witnessing the therapeutic benefits of music, including learning new skills, developing and inspiring creativity, and the experience of performing for others.

Nell is an excellent teacher. She is not only knowledgeable, she is patient and kind, as well.
Her rate is very reasonable and her hours are quite flexible.

I initially contacted Penelope for voice lessons for my daughter who loves to sing and play ukulele, it so happens she plays uke as well. She works with my daughter on voice in conjunction with ukulele lessons and my daughter loves it and is learning how to hone in on her skill. She travels to our house for the lessons which is also so helpful for us and she is very reasonably priced. We highly recommend Penelope and are very pleased with her knowledge base and teaching style.
